Pull up a Chair
This is the inaugural post to the Drug Policy Alliance's new weblog, which we were going to call the "Drug Policy Alliance Weblog" until someone pointed out how boring that is. So we came up with The D'Alliance, which is a play on our name, of course, but which we think has some cool double meaning embedded as well.
Webster's cites Geoffrey Chaucer's use of the word to connote "entertaining discourse," while WordNet defines it as "the deliberate act of wasting time instead of working." Perfect, we think.
We hope you'll spend a bit of your day reading our posts. Please click on "comments" after each post if you'd like to offer yours. We'll do our best to read them all.
We look forward to sharing the adventure with you.
