Mother arrested for almost bringing heroin to her son at school

Wow this is weird!

A Michigan woman is charged with possession with intent to deliver after a botched attempt to deliver heroin to her son at school.

According to police, Sheila Black's son called her from school threatening to hurt himself if he didn't get heroin ASAP. He told his mother where to buy it, which she did. The plan was for her to meet him at school with some ready-made syringes, and he was to take them from her pocket as they hugged.

But the mom backed out, and now faces 20 years in prison. I'm not sure how she got arrested - the story says a "tip" led police to the mom.

UPDATE: Thanks to Carol for the following information - - The tip was called in by the boy's father, who he lives with. The mother was already under a court order prohibiting her from seeing her son without supervision.
